Election Year 2012 is here.

We've spent 2011 planning, and know the exact recipe for success needed to finish what we started in 2010. Volunteers on the ground are the key ingredients.

(1) Dynamic Plan of Attack. We know this district and how to defeat John Tierney like no other person possibly can. Only we have the clear, organized, focused, extensive, grassroots strategy, developed over the past 2.5 years, which is capable of matching and exceeding his machine in the 39 cities/towns of the Sixth District. My primary opponent has barely gotten started and has neither the time nor the issues on his side to win (doesn't even have any on his website). It's time for all volunteers who have committed to step up and get moving, and those who have not committed to climb onboard the Hudak Express as we march toward the "Stand Up for America Tour" which commence when the weather breaks.

(2) Town Colonels and Captains: Our All-American Army organizational structure is almost complete, with the appointment and acceptance of many of the leaders needed throughout the 7 regions and 39 cities/towns in the district. Volunteer Coordinator Tom Hospod (thomasfxhospod@gmail.com, 617-866-0895) has been doing a great job -- if you'd like to be part of the campaign leadership, please let him know. Otherwise, we will be calling on you for the signature drive, standouts, phone banking and the Tour very soon.

(3) Three Months of Events: The next three months of anticipated blustery NE Weather requires that we have as many indoor meets and greets and fundraising events as possible. We have countless dozens already planned, and need more throughout the entire district. Please step up and host one, and also notify Tom or Event Coordinator Lyndi Lanphear (lyndilanphear@me.com, 978-204-5682) if there's an event in your town which I should attend so we miss nothing. When the weather breaks, the outdoor tour and door-knocking begins.

(4) MARA Organizational Meeting: I'm pleased to have the full and exclusive support of the Massachusetts Republican Assembly, the "Republican Wing of the Republican Party" (see www.massra.com), as I'm the only Conservative running for Congress in this District. There will be a 6th District organizational meeting on Thursday, January 19, at 7:00 pm at Starboard Galley, 55 Water Street, Newburyport. Contact: Sheila Mullins, 978-618-9149, sheila_a_mullins@hotmail.com. REAGAN REPUBLICANS AND TRUE CONSERVATIVES -- PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND!

MARA supplements, but does not replace the RTCs; it is a National Conservative Republican PAC. Many RTCs or members may not want to take sides until after the primary, which I fully understand. However, we can't (and won't) wait because this delay in being fully organized and united plays into Tierney's hands. I'm sure Tierney's thrilled to have my primary opponent dividing the party and trying to distract me from dogging him until September, but with the full support of MARA, Tea Parties, Conservative Family Groups, and YOU, he won't be so lucky. MARA provides a great opportunity for this campaign to have an exclusive, uninhibitted support base of True Conservative Republicans to help maintain our focus where it needs to remain.

Meanwhile, remember, "when the going gets tough, the tough get going".

The Christmas and Hanukkah Season is a time of remembrance, joy and sharing.

In the best of our annual traditions, we reflect on the blessings of our lives, the year gone by, and the future yet to come. We honor the love we share with our families, friends, and those around us. We share gifts as a token of how much we care, in the tradition of the three wise men who visited when Christ was born.

These customs are simple, and fundamental, and necessary reminders of who we are. And who we need to be. We need only remember. Every day.

The words of Ronald Reagan thirty years ago ring just as true today:

We wish you all the best this holiday season.

Merry Christmas.
Happy Hanukkah.

The Hudak Campaign is excited to announce two new appointments to the campaign.

Tom Hospod has joined the campaign as Field Coordinator. While at Boston College, Tom was on the Executive Board of BC Republicans, and coordinator for the campaign of John McCain. Tom served as a field representative for Scott Brown during his special election in 2009 - 2010, and following a brief stint with the Hudak campaign was appointed the Field Director for Paul Loscocco during his run for Lieutenant Governor. Tom can be reached at thomasfxhospod@gmail.com, 617-866-0895.

In addition to some great grass roots experience in this area, Tom promises to bring youthful energy, significant insight into the issues involved in this particular race, and terrific ideas on organizing the District up to and on election day.

Meanwhile, Lyndi Lanphear has joined the campaign as Event Coordinator. Lyndi brings lifelong experience in the social arena and has great organizational skills as the manager of commercial real estate. She is currently doing a terrific job organizing the Christmas / Hanukkah party scheduled for this Saturday, December 17, 2011, at the Village Green, in Danvers. Details are on the website at www.HudakforCongress.com.

As her first “official” duty in this regard, Lyndi would like to invite you, your family, and friends to join us dressed in your Christmas best on Saturday for a fun evening of food, spirits, dancing and holiday cheer! The doors open at 6:00 for a private reception, for a donation of $100 up to the maximum of $2,500, and the party begins at 7:00, with a suggested donation of $25. Tomorrow, we reflect and continue the tradition of our forefathers, giving thanks with our families and friends for the magnificent bounty which America alone has to offer. And it is that bounty we must never take for granted, and for which we must be grateful, always.

Long before we were the “United” States, our land provided the world’s first opportunity to truly live as free people. The Pilgrims understood freedom and risked their lives to attain it. Our Revolutionary War patriots fought and died to achieve it, creating a new Constitution to define it. The Civil War served to solidify it. And through two World Wars and more in our own lifetimes, our direct decedents and members of our own families fought and died, and continue to fight and die, to protect it.

And with these sacrifices our freedom has survived and our families have grown and prospered.

Our distinctive Thanksgiving Holiday gives us, and the world, pause to remember that. Like nowhere else on earth. As we lead by example, by the grace of God, and with the heart of our uniquely American pride. With eternal gratitude to those who came before.

Even during this era as we face grave economic, social, and geopolitical challenges, this essential day of reflection must serve as a reminder of who we must remain – the world’s beacon of hope; exceptional; the shining City on a Hill serving as a symbol of who we are.

It is with this sense of deep and unbounded national love and pride that I, my wife Angela, and our children Trey and Joanie, give Thanks this day. And we extend our heart-felt Thanksgiving wish to you and yours.

So too, as you earnestly reflect, give Thanks, and share this day with those closest to you, it is our hope, and trust, that you will also find the inner peace and strength which our American National Day of Thanks reminds us is so vital to our irreplaceable way of life.

Happy Thanksgiving.

The JURY is not in, but the Testimony of Patrice Tierney is. The Congressman’s wife testified today in the money laundering, fraud, racketeering, and gambling trial of her brother, Daniel Eremian in the Federal District Court in Boston.

The question is, did John Tierney really “know nothing” as he claimed in 2010?

Key among the evidence includes:

• Patrice wrote herself checks totaling $173,047.75 from her brother Robert’s gambling funds from 2004-2010;
• Patrice wrote her mother an additional $50,000.00 in checks which her mother signed over to her;
• Patrice did not declare any of this money on her tax returns;
• John Tierney knew she was managing her brother’s money;
• John Tierney visited Antigua twice, and had dinner in Robert Eremian’s home which also was the gambling operation, located within the immediate view of his table (Patrice admitted she could see it, despite being “willfully blind” herself);
• When Patrice was pulled out of line by customs in December, 2007, returning from Costa Rica, John demanded to know whether it was because her name was “Eremian”;
• When her son, John Chew, was subpoenaed to a Grand Jury investigation in Fall, 2009, Patrice knew Robert was under investigation, and despite John Tierney being her husband and a lawyer, nonetheless listened to Robert’s lawyer and kept managing Robert’s money and paying herself!

More can be found from our website at: http://bit.ly/u4KCQc. We’ll post the whole transcript when it becomes available.

Says Primary Proves Republican Party is Healthy and Growing

Boxford, MA: Bill Hudak, www.hudakforcongress.com, candidate for U.S. Congress in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District, today welcomed Richard Tisei’s announcement that he intends to join him in the race to unseat John Tierney by running in the Republican Primary.

“For two and a half years now, we’ve been working steadily with emerging activists, tea party groups, and conservative organizations to build grass roots support all over the new Sixth District (and the state)”, Hudak says. “In so doing, we’ve supported local conservative Republican candidates, and worked earnestly to build an organization capable of overturning the ‘liberal progressive’ mindset which is at the root of our nation’s economic woes,” he commented.

“We’ve been doing something different from the Republican Party’s decades-long ‘top down’ strategy of emphasizing only the gubernatorial race, and are succeeding,” Hudak believes. “A primary goal of this effort is to finally convert Massachusetts into a two party state we can be proud of for years to come; a result possible only if we cease giving in to the idea that only by having Republicans accept the Democrats’ political ideology can we defeat them,” Hudak said.

“We must encourage clear and honest debate both within and without the Republican Party as to policy.” Hudak remarked that “in other states, primaries are routine; and the emergence of them in Massachusetts, particularly among two strong and battle-tested candidates is a sign that we are winning.” Hudak, a Reagan Republican, says that over the course of the next year, he intends to fully stand on the ideals Reagan expressed, and which he says “are needed urgently.”

Hudak is certain that “this contest will make whoever wins the Primary not only more able to defeat the incumbent, but also a better Congressman prepared to meet our serious challenges.” Hudak is confident he is the candidate best prepared to do both.

Boxford, Mass., November 8, 2011: Bill Hudak, www.hudakforcongress.com, candidate for U.S. Congress in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District, today commented on the new Congressional District map released yesterday. “We’re thrilled that after months of delay the redistricting committee has not only recommended maintaining the District intact, but added three towns consistent with the conservative nature of the North Shore area,” Hudak said.

Under the plan, the 6th District retains the same 36 Cities and Towns which have comprised the District since 2002, but adds Tewksbury, Billerica and part of the town of Andover. “This is great news for the North Shore, both because the unity of the District has survived redistricting, and because the added towns will fit perfectly with the character of the region.” he commented.

Hudak formally announced in March, 2011 that he would continue his quest to unseat John Tierney in 2012, and has been working steadily during the year to continue his campaign. “These three new towns offer a great opportunity for us to pick up the remaining votes we need to win in 2012 because they all trend Republican,” Hudak said.

Hudak added that “Scott Brown carried Andover (58%), Tewksbury (65%), and Billerica (60%). And Charlie Baker beat Deval Patrick in Andover (56% to 44%), Billerica (62% to 38%), and Tewksbury (64% to 36%). We couldn’t ask for a much better ‘new’ draw for our continuing campaign against John Tierney.”

“In addition, having these great towns added to the District gives a fresh opportunity to reach a pool of voters never before experiencing what it is like to be represented by John Tierney. It would be hard to imagine that with John Tierney’s family currently on trial for tax fraud that these 70,000 voters new to the 6th district would ever embrace him as their representative in Congress,” Hudak concluded.

All citizens of the 6th Congressional District must read the Trial Brief filed by United States Prosecutors for the upcoming October 17, 2011, illegal gambling, racketeering, money laundering, and tax fraud criminal trial of Daniel Eremian, Congressman John Tierney’s brother-in-law, in which Tierney’s wife, Patrice Tierney, is expected to testify.

Congressman Tierney, who has been elected every two years from 1996 to date, has to have more knowledge than he led everyone to believe before the 2010 election, because apparently the whole Eremian family, including Patrice Tierney, her son John Chew, her brothers, and her father, were involved in a widespread and regular scheme, some for decades, which affected John Tierney’s family finances directly.

Patrice Tierney avoided the possibility of a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison and a $400,000 fine concerning her involvement in the scheme by reaching a plea bargain agreement on September 20, 2010, agreeing to plead guilty to aiding and abetting tax fraud and cooperate with authorities, before the public even became aware of her involvement. The deal was negotiated behind closed doors, was originally sealed from public view expressly to avoid publicity, was opened on October 4, 2010 with a guilty plea made within 24 hours, and Congressman Tierney himself then took charge of all public announcements concerning his Wife. One has to wonder if her upcoming testimony is part of the arrangement.

The brief, filed in United States of America vs. Todd Lyons and Daniel Eremian, Criminal Case no. 10-10159-PBS, with the Massachusetts Federal District Court, contains a description of an extremely large, in fact “daunting,” illegal gambling operation covering decades and tens of millions of dollars in laundered funds.

The racketeering enterprise, prosecutors say, was owned and operated by Patrice Tierney’s brother, Robert Eremian, who commenced the business from his Lynnfield, Massachusetts home in the 1980s, involved Patrice Tierney’s other brother, Daniel Eremian, who solicited business from his bar known as “Brodie’s Pub” in Peabody, Massachusetts, and then, in the wake of law enforcement investigations in the late 1990s, moved offshore to Antigua where it continued to operate in Massachusetts and other states under the name Sports Off Shore (“SOS”).

Prosecutors claim the enterprise collected somewhere between $32 million dollars and $44 million dollars from SOS gamblers from 1997 through 2005, with agents receiving between 25% and 50% as commissions. Their brief describes a massive conspiracy involving use of Federal Express to ship cash in “six packs,” namely $6,000 cash bundles, to avoid detection, and use of fictitious names and accounts to wire transfer and launder the money.

Robert Eremian was able to buy a helicopter with $500,000 cash, as part of the scheme.

Calling the enterprise “truly a family affair,” U.S. attorneys charge that in addition to the Eremian brothers, Patrice Tierney herself, from 2003 – 2009, managed a $10 million dollar Bank of America account funded by some of these wire transfers from Robert’s offshore Antigua account, while her father Robert G. Eremian (until his death), and her son, John Chew, were also employed in the scheme.

Prosecutors describe Patrice Tierney’s role as the person who managed Robert Eremian’s finances in the United States out of the Bank of America Salem, Massachusetts, branch near the Congressman’s home, including her use of the money laundering account to disburse the $10 million dollars to pay Robert’s credit card bills, real estate taxes, income taxes, property maintenance expenses, and to distribute funds to members of his family, including Patrice Tierney, her mother and Robert’s wife and children.

Prosecutors in the brief relate that Patrice “routinely accessed” this account for approximately $20,000 per annum for herself. These statements add to statements they made earlier in 2011 during Patrice Tierney’s court hearing, where she was ordered to serve time in prison for tax fraud, that Mrs. Tierney also received money from her brother to pay for her Volkswagen Beetle and cell phone.

The details in this brief are alarming concerning the breadth of the scheme and the depth of Patrice Tierney’s involvement and should lead every citizen to question whether John Tierney was honest when he claimed in 2010 to "know nothing," to suggest that his wife had been "duped", and pressed to quickly sweep this matter under the rug. If you believe that, you have to question whether he is married to the same "Patrice Tierney" identified in this brief. This scheme was integral to Patrice Tierney’s family’s lives the entire time Congressman Tierney knew her, including times when the law required that he be aware of her relationship to her family and their mutual finances.

To trust the Congressman, you must also believe that for over 15 years, before 1997, when Mr. Tierney was dating Patrice, was running for Congress, and his brother-in-law’s house was being raided, and after their marriage in 1997, including the 1997 through 2002 period during the government’s "widespread investigation" which resulting in Robert Eremian’s conviction for income tax evasion, that Mr. Tierney never spoke with his wife about money, never met or discussed any of her family, was never home when prosecutors and investigators came calling, never rode in her car or questioned how she was paying for it, never called her on her cell phone, and never discussed family finances at all, ever, under any circumstances.

Patrice Tierney had to talk to her husband about money; she certainly couldn’t pay the family bills, mortgage, or for her car on the $4,000 she claimed she earned in 2006 from her small jewelry business, so that money had to come from this illegal enterprise or the Congressman’s salary, both requiring discussion.

Even more disturbing, the Congressman was required by law to inquire of his wife and disclose the $20,000 annual payments prosecutors say she received working for the business, but he never once during from 2003 through 2009 included that information on his required annual Financial Disclosures which he signed under oath and filed with the Congress,” Hudak commented. “So, too, the Tierney’s were required to report this income on their joint income tax returns, and the Congressman has been conspicuously silent on that subject and has failed to produce those returns despite request.

In 2010, we called upon Congressman Tierney to disclose his involvement in what was then only reported as a $7 million dollar scheme; now that we know it approaches $44 million dollars, at least, and that his wife was paid for her role and was the key United States financial manager, we do so again. And this time we ask for full disclosure for the years 2003 through 2009, including the Bank of America statements and all checks written on that account, plus disclosure of John Tierney’s income tax returns to verify his family claimed this income on their taxes and paid their fair share.

We’ll watch the events unfold during this trial, anticipating there’s even more detail to come. With all the cash transactions reported in the trial brief, it is clear this is only the tip of the iceberg.

Patrice Tierney was convicted and served time in prison for being willfully blind; perhaps that is a family affair too, but Congressman Tierney’s indifference to, or willingness to accept and by his silence support, his family’s racketeering business offers some insight into whether he is competent to uphold the Constitution and laws of the United States or to vote on the nation’s finances during these exceptionally troubling economic times.

The Trial Brief, Transcript of Patrice Tierney's Sentencing, Patrice Tierney's Plea Bargain Agreement, and John Tierney's Financial Disclosures may be viewed in this Website "On the Issues" under the "Tierney Court Case" tab.
